1st time [[Backcountry snowboarding]] [^1] with [[Mateusz Gepert|Mateusz]] and Robert, following the [[Biały Jar - Śnieżka - Sowia przełęcz]], but in reverse direction: - [[Burton Family Tree Hometown Hero X]] performed amazingly well - The board rides great in powder - On the ascent, you can really feel a huge amount of fun from how well it holds on the skins ## Route - [[Śnieżka]] - Overall, the conditions started to deteriorate badly: very strong wind, visibility down to ~50 m - I had to unclip at some point because it was heavily wind-scoured - On the descent, the wind was so strong it was hard to stay upright - [[Biały Jar]] - already after dark - We passed the turn-off for the black trail - Lots of snow - if visibility had been better, it would’ve been an amazing run - It was hard for me to assess how high the avalanche risk was above us ![[Śnieżka 26'.png|400]] ![[Śnieżka 26' 2.png|400]] [^1]: https://connect.garmin.com/app/activity/21443181087
