[[Experience]] as [[Tech Evangelist]] in [[Brainhub]] @ part of [[STX Next]] (post-acquisition)
Dec 2024 - Dec 2025 - 1 yr
After [[Brainhub]] was acquired by [[STX Next]], I stepped into a cross-organizational role focused on unifying engineering standards and driving the vision for [[AI-powered software delivery]]. I led the establishment of [[STX's SCoE|Software Center of Excellence]], shaping its scope, defining senior engineering paths (including the [[Staff Engineer]] role), and aligning practices across full-stack, DevOps, and Data teams.

Helping teams adopt more predictable, AI-supported delivery practices, also consulted with defining objectives and approach to mentoring team in order to expand engineer capabilities with [[AI-powered]] toolset.

A key part of my work was integrating knowledge systems between both companies and mentoring [[Team Lead|team leads]] through role transitions. This involved tightening expectations around engineering leadership and clarifying responsibilities.

#foresters/discuss How many team leads / engineers were you indirectly responsible for across STX Next post-acquisition? Any specific headcount or org structure detail to support "15+ engineers" claims? - There was up to 100 projects of different size and structure, in [[STX's SCoE]] we were responsible for auditing, supporting and implementing standards in them
#foresters/discuss delivery ownership in any of your roles — owning a team's sprint commitments, roadmap execution, or shipping outcomes directly? Or was influence always cross-org/advisory? Concrete examples of directing a team's day-to-day delivery would be critical here.
#foresters/discuss Which specific AI toolsets (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) were part of the AI-powered delivery adoption at STX Next, and what measurable outcome (adoption rate, velocity change, or similar) can you cite?
#foresters/discuss For the SCoE establishment: how many engineers/teams were brought under the unified standards, and over what timeframe? Any headline metric (e.g. "aligned 5 teams across 3 disciplines in 6 months") would strengthen every CV that references this role.
